Start Up Review: A Good Boy Deserved Better

Honestly, I liked this drama. The acting was really reeally good from out two main leads, especially when Dal Mi finds out that Do San is not really the Nam Do San she knew when she was younger. We all knew that Dal Mi and the real Nam Do San would end up together, so the ending was not much of a surprise. So in other words, Good Boy will end up as Sad Boy, and we all knew it from the beginning.

Nam Joo Hyuk’s acting has caught my attention more than any of his previous dramas, so this one is the one to watch. Suzy is great at looking beautiful while crying, so her acting was 10/10 as expected in those heavy moments.

The ending episodes were a bit strange plot-wise. Nam Do San’s big hands won Dal Mi over? Okay we all know what kind of innuendo that means 😉 I didn’t find it convincing enough when Suzy says she likes Joo Hyuk “just because it’s you.” Where was the girl that was mad at him for lying to her, and not being her first love through those childhood letters? It just doesn’t make any sense.

I give this drama a 7/10. The actors, setting and plot were strong throughout most of the drama. Just the development of Dal Mi and Do San’s relationship could have been better developed at the end. We will always remember you Good Boy, you definitely deserved better!
